FAQ

Does "raw" chocolate taste different? What is coconut blossom nectar? Is the packaging completely biodegradable? What exactly is the difference between fair trade and direct trade?

There is much to tell about Lovechock, its corporate philosophy and its products. Do you have any questions? Send us an e-mail to info@lovechock.com or use the contact form.

Our raw chocolate is made from minimally roasted cacao beans, which helps preserve the natural nutrients and antioxidants.
This process ensures that our raw chocolate not only tastes delicious but also retains more of the beneficial properties of the cacao bean.

We are committed to your well-being, which is why we use coconut blossom sugar, inulin, and raw cane sugar to sweeten our products. We always aim to use as little sugar as possible, and just like all our ingredients,
these sweeteners are 100% organic. Additionally, we adhere to the highest hygiene and food safety standards to ensure that every piece of chocolate you enjoy is as safe as it is delicious.

Absolutely! Lovechock is committed to providing vegan-friendly products. Our chocolates are dairy-free and made without any animal products, so they can be enjoyed by anyone following a vegan lifestyle.

No, Lovechock chocolates are gluten-free. We ensure that our production process prevents any cross-contamination, making our products safe for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.

Palm oil unfortunately is hidden in many foods. On top of being a cheap fat, palm oil is used to make e.g. chocolate fillings creamy and give it a melt-in-the-mouth texture. Experts suspect this fat to contribute to the development of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and cancer. According to the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF), palm oil also has a negative effect on the environment. Natural forests are cleared for the production of this fat which means that both local people and animals lose their natural habitat.

Lovechock does not use any palm oil - and this is documented by a certificate. We only use pure organic cacao butter in our chocolate. Our main sweetener is coconut blossom nectar which has been declared to be the most sustainably grown sugar by the Federal Agricultural Organisation (FAO). Coconut blossom nectar is a different product from a different tree and has no link to palm oil.

Yes, all Lovechock products are made with 100% organic ingredients. We believe in using only the finest natural ingredients to create our delicious chocolates and we stay away from any pesticides.

At Lovechock, we prioritize direct trade with cacao farmers. This means we work closely with the farmers, ensuring they receive fair wages and better working conditions.
By eliminating intermediaries, we can build strong relationships with our suppliers and contribute to the sustainable development of their communities.
This practice not only supports the farmers but also ensures the high quality of the cacao beans used in our chocolate.

At Lovechock, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize direct trade with cacao farmers, ensuring fair wages and better working conditions.

To keep your Lovechock chocolate fresh and delicious, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ideally, keep it at a temperature between 15-18°C.
Avoid storing it in the refrigerator as this can cause condensation and affect the texture and flavour.

No, Lovechock chocolates are free from artificial ingredients and preservatives. We believe in keeping our products as natural and pure as possible, using only organic, high-quality ingredients.

All of our traditional Lovechock products, like the Pure Nibs bar or 99% tablet, are made using raw cocoa, meaning the cocoa is minimally processed to preserve its natural properties.
While some of our products, such as the Cocoa Magic line use non-raw cocoa, we can assure you that these beans are not treated with any chemicals.
Our chocolate is never deacidified ("Dutched") or conched, as is common in conventional chocolate production. These processes would strip away the beneficial compounds we cherish in our chocolate.
We take great care to ensure that nothing in our chocolate is heated or processed above 45 degrees Celsius.

Those are cacao nibs: small pieces of finely ground cocoa beans. They are absolutely natural and it is no problem at all to consume them. Unfortunately we are not able to remove them all because they are too small. They are simply the result of having a natural, raw product.

At Lovechock, we take the safety and quality of our products very seriously. Our chocolates are regularly tested for heavy metals to ensure they meet the strict safety standards set by the European Union.
We are proud to say that Lovechock chocolate is always within these guidelines, ensuring that our products are safe for our customers to enjoy.

Our chocolates have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production. (Depending on the product). You can find the exact expiration date on the packaging.
We recommend enjoying your Lovechock chocolate before this date to ensure the best quality and taste.
